A Hand-made Holiday, Pre-K

I hate to spoil the surprise, but these adorable clay hands are coming home with Pre-K students this week.

No bleak and gray winter skies for this young artist. Sofia painted a beautiful sunset behind a forest of evergreen (complete with patterns) and deciduous trees. She even added an owl - perhaps for good luck.

5th grade Drawing Club students painted these two 8 x 12’ panels for our holiday musical, “A Pirate Christmas.” I asked for ‘painterly’ and this is what they came up with. I think the brushstrokes in both of these panels demonstrate that these students are well on their way to becoming very exciting painters!
