This incredible artwork by third grade Lake is about redemption. The artist is represented as a ferryman oaring through the sky.
Inspired by the dream-like images of Marc Chagall, Emlyn drew and painted this wonderful self-portrait that highlights her many interests and aspirations.

More awesomeness from 2nd grade artists
Alivia, Celeste, Finnegan - 2nd grade, September 2016

Inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe, second grade artists looked closely and painted a natural object very large, filling the whole 18 x 18" paper, to make it important and allow the viewer to see it the way they do.

Amelia's Stunning Sunset (2nd grade)

Tuesday, April 5, 2016

Year after year, this remains one of my all time favorite projects. The results this year are more stunning than ever and they are filled with very personal meaning. Each third grade student was asked to make a piece of art about something in the world that they would like to change. These five wonderful artworks are all about environmental problems, pollution, loss of habitat or extinction.
